I would have given a 0 but 1 was the least I could give. My husband stepped on a needle while we were in town visiting 10/28/17. We went to this urgent care. There was a needed in his foot. I told the staff 3 times he is diabetic. The dr made a cut on his foot then decided he couldn’t get the needle out. Instructed us to see a Surgeon on Monday. Even wanting us to come back to Richlands to see “their” surgeon. We said absolutely not. So being concerned about a needle in a diabetic foot we went to Abingdon ER where it was not an option to leave the needle in his foot until Monday. The needle was removed within the hour. His PCP was dumbfounded when he heard that we were instructed to leave the needle in his foot for 2 days. He was very relieved that we decided that was dangerous and went to another Dr. After seeing his diabetic specialist he told us had we waited that long to have the needle removed my husband would have been in ICU an could have lost his foot over it due to infections and he is diabetic. Now I have a bill over $300 for them doing nothing and possibly letting my husband get terrible infection from a simple needle in his foot.
My family & myself went to urgent care on 9/27/17. My fiance, my son & myself were taken into the exam room together. The Dr checks our bp, temp, ears & looks in throats. No test, nothing else. All 3 of us had horrible coughs, headaches, earaches & chest pain. The Dr. Says "probably allergies, maybe respiratory infection" More less acts like we don't know what we are talking about & can't tell the difference in allergies & being sick. He then says I'll call in some med's & walks out. We are all still sick & my son is much worse today. Complete waste of time & money.
i took my husband here today, we walked in, filled out papers, and we might had set there 5 minutes and they called him back. all the staff plus the doctor was more than nice to us. they asked a few questions, took a few tests, and in a few short moments we knew what was wrong, got a shot of antibiotics and we were on way home. was a wonderful experience, besides him being sick. want to say thanks to allof them..
